At Utility SwopShop, we want to ensure that all of our clients are billed accurately. By submitting a manual meter read, your supplier can generate a bill based on your actual consumption instead of an estimate.
We highly recommend that you provide, at the least, an opening and closing meter read for the start and end of your utility contract. Even if you have a smart meter, we recommend that you submit at least one manual meter read image to ensure that is it recording accurately. You can then submit monthly reads towards the end of the month for consistent and accurate bills.
Please attach a clear and full image of your gas / electricity meter with the reading displayed.
Submitting a meter reading to us is simple. You just need your smartphone and your gas or electricity meter.
Step 1 – Make sure your gas / electricity meter is displaying your consumption in kWh or m3.
Please note: Your digital meter may display more than one read. You can use the buttons on the meter to display different screens.
Step 2 – Open the camera app on your phone.
Step 3 – Take a clear and full image of your meter(s) and the reads displayed so we can identify your supply.
Step 4 – Visit this page and fill out our form to submit them directly to us.
