British gas prices fell on Thursday, with NBP spot price dropping by 1.3% to 77.75 p/therm amid rising Norwegian flows to the UK.
The Winter 2025 contract also decreased by 1.5%, settling at 89.50 p/therm, due to a comfortable supply outlook and rising storage levels.
UK forward power prices showed modest changes on Thursday. The Winter 2025 contract held largely steady, closing at 83.39 GBP/MWh, influenced by a bullish carbon market. Similarly, the spot electricity price jumped by 7.7% to 58.64 GBP/MWh, driven by a decline in wind generation output.
