The NBP spot contract slipped by 0.8% to 149.25 p/therm on Thursday as concerns over a major LNG supply disruption eased, with analysts expecting only limited impacts from a potential shipping blockade in the Bab el-Mandeb Strait.
Further along the curve, the Winter 2026 contract declined by 0.5% to 149.93 p/therm, although ongoing Middle East tensions and low European gas storage levels continued to provide underlying support to prices.



The UK spot electricity price declined by 2% to 129.75 GBP/MWh, pressured by stronger wind output and improved renewable generation forecasts.
Further along the curve, the UK Winter 2026 power contract edged down by 0.4% to 126.91 GBP/MWh, tracking weaker gas and carbon prices.
