Week ending: 14/11/2025

Gas

UK gas prices moved in different directions on Thursday. The NBP spot contract rose by 0.7% to 68.50 p/therm, bolstered by continued volatility in exports and LNG deliveries. Further out, the Summer 2026 contract slipped by 1% to 73.59 p/therm, partially reversing the previous day’s gains as traders weighed stable supply and storage against colder weather forecasts for next week

Power

UK spot power price climbed by 10% to close at 70.22 GBP/MWh, supported by forecasts of colder weather next week. Meanwhile, the Summer 2026 contract slipped by 0.4% to 70.44 GBP/MWh, following the downtrend in gas prices.
