British gas prices climbed on Thursday, with the NBP spot rising by 2.2% to 125.75 p/therm amid colder weather. The Summer-2026 contract jumped 2.7% to 123.65 p/therm amid renewed Iran threats to escalate the war.



On Thursday, British day-ahead electricity price rose by 0.6% to 56.44 GBP/MWh, driven by lower renewable generation. Further along the curve, the Summer-2026 contract gained 2.8% to 95.91 GBP/MWh, following higher gas prices.
