Gas

Despite an unplanned outage at Norway’s Troll field that cut gas exports to Europe by 20 mcm/d to 61 mcm/d, the NBP spot contract declined by 2% to 121.55 p/therm.

Meanwhile, the Winter 2026 contract edged higher to 124.29 p/therm, as market participants remained relatively unconcerned about current geopolitical tensions and their potential impact on supply.

Power

The UK spot power price plunged by 29% to 77.50 GBP/MWh on Thursday, pressured by forecasts for stronger renewable output, including a 4.8 GW increase in wind generation and higher solar production.

Further along the curve, the UK Winter 2026 power contract gained 0.6% to 106.41 GBP/MWh, remaining resilient despite weaker gas prices.
