Week ending: 10/10/2025

Gas

UK gas prices declined on Thursday. The NBP spot slipped 0.5% to 82.50 p/therm, aided by robust LNG arrivals from the Atlantic basin and continued flows from increased U.S. production to Europe. On the forward curve, the Sum-26 contract fell by 0.4% to 77.34 p/therm, as National Gas and NESO forecasts suggest sufficient supply for the winter season.

Power

UK spot power climbed 1.9% to close at 87 GBP/MWh on Thursday, driven by reduced renewable generation. Meanwhile, the Sum-26 contract dipped 0.4% to 72.30 GBP/MWh, following a decline in gas prices.
