British near-term gas prices declined on Thursday, with the NBP spot falling by around 5% to 77.55 p/therm, as forecasts pointed to a low chance of additional heatwaves and relatively mild temperatures.
Further along the forward curve, the Winter-25 gas contract was largely stable, settling at 89.58 p/therm amid a largely unchanged fundamental outlook.
British spot power price slipped by about 1% to 81.40 GBP/MWh on Thursday as UK wind generation increases toward seasonal norms.
Further out the curve, the power price for Win-25 delivery rose marginally by 0.6% to 83.56 GBP/MWh as gas currently sees very low trading activity.
