£12 Billion for UK Green Industrial Revolution

£12 Billion for UK Green Industrial Revolution

The UK Government has published their ‘Ten Point Plan for a Green Industrial Revolution’ that aims to invest in clean technologies such as wind, hydrogen, solar, and more. They will be investing £5 billion into support for a green recovery and the plan will mobilise £12 billion in government funds with potentially more from the private sectors.

This plan will create hundreds of thousands of jobs for the UK after we all recover from the aftermath of the corona virus and place green jobs within the British economy. Official figure show that this plan could support up to 250,000 jobs by 2030!

Alongside creating more jobs the government also wants to capture and preserve England’s natural beauty by establishing more land for new and existing national parks which will protect 30% of England’s countryside by 2030.
